Heavy Modern

Late-night, ritual, monochrome — built so the site reads like the album cover itself, for acts closer to the deftones/sleep-token/ghost end of modern heavy music.

Design rationale

Heavy Modern uses a wide condensed display (Druk Wide Bold-class) for headlines against a clean Inter body, with an optional blackletter accent reserved for chapter or release titles only. Palette stays desaturated and ritualistic: near-black `#08080A`, a bone `#EDE7DA`, blood-red `#B0151F`, and an ember gold `#C9A04A` used sparingly for accents.

Full-bleed art plates and slow fades replace the tour-list-first energy of Punk/Hardcore Loud — this style gives more visual weight to a single strong image or release artwork before the tour and merch sections appear, matching the atmosphere-first convention of the genre's best sites.

Who this fits

Heavy, atmospheric, and ritual-leaning rock or metal acts where the visual identity is as important as the music itself — bands building a "world" around each release rather than a straightforward touring-band brochure.

Frequently asked questions

Can the site swap its whole look for a new album?

Yes — that's exactly what the maintenance plan is designed for: a hero, palette, and type-accent refresh tied to a release.

Does this style support desaturated or B&W photography?

Yes — Heavy Modern is built around desaturated, high-contrast photography with one deliberate color hit.

Is this different from the Punk/Hardcore style?

Yes — Heavy Modern is slower, darker, and more atmosphere-led; Punk/Hardcore Loud is faster, brighter, and tour-list-first.
